Ann M. Rossi, NP
Clinical Experience
I have worked at UVA for 26 years in various positions starting as a registered nurse in 1983. As a nurse practitioner I have focused on cardiovascular disease and risk factor modification in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Area's of interest in women's heart health
I enjoy focusing on the unique phases in a woman's lifespan to identify when she is at increased risk. I look to evidence-based recommendations to guide the prevention of cardiovascular disease in women through a combination of lifestyle and risk factor interventions and treatments.
Why shared medical appointments?
The ease of access to shared medical appointments gives women a positive first impression. I also like to see women sharing their experiences in a supportive, informative and confidential medical appointment. Instilling the confidence and motivation in women to safely self-manage certain aspects of their care gives me great joy as a provider.
My green thumb
I have over a dozen orchids and I can't wait to see all of them re-bloom.
