Braised Cabbage

Contributor: Ashley Hightower Makes 8 serving(s) + Ingredients2 Tbsp. canola oil ½ tsp. ground cinnamon + DirectionsHeat a large heavy pot to medium Add oil, sauté red onion until translucent. Sprinkle in brown sugar and cook for a few minutes until sugar is dissolved. Deglaze with the red wine vinegar. Add red wine, cinnamon, ginger and salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add red cabbage and continue to cook for about 10 minutes uncovered Cover cabbage and simmer about 45 minutes. Remove. Taste, and adjust seasoning, if necessary. Nutrition Facts:Calories: 111
