Green Beans with Almonds and Garlic

Contributor: Ashley Hightower Makes 4 serving(s) + Ingredients½ lb. green beans 1/3 cup blanched, slivered almonds 1 clove garlic, minced salt/pepper 1 t. or more olive oil + DirectionsTrim ends of green beans then blanch- bring a salted pot of water to a boil, add green beans for 15-60 seconds until just tender then drain and refresh with ice water Bring a stainless steel pan to medium-high heat, add oil then garlic and almonds, stir briefly Add green beans and sauté for 2 minutes. Reduce heat and cook another 3-4 minutes, watching that garlic and almonds do not burn Season with salt/pepper Nutrition Facts:Calories: 140
